Day 3

Today we started out in Sioux Falls with a destination of Cody, WY in mind.  This is the part of the country where we decided to start out sightseeing.
First stop was Badlands National Park.  At first sight it is pretty boring for a girl who loves trees and mountains, but as you meander through you begin to see the beauty and phenomena in it's structure.  We also saw another Maine car exiting as we were driving into the park!  Inside the park we saw a bighorn sheep, prairie dogs and some aucciptors.  At the end of the Badlands, is the famous Wall Drug store.  Your typical tourist trap.  Mom and I walked through all the shops and had a bite to eat (our only meal of the day)!  After here we headed for the Black Hills...we briefly got lost and probably added 45min to our day!  But we found our way through and saw some beautiful sights!
Wyoming presented us with three routes for reaching Cody, we chose route 14 through Bighorn National Forest.  This was an awesome choice!  We climbed up into the Bighorn mountains and the GPS went from a straight line (90-w) to a line that resembled a heart rate monitor(switchbacks up the mountain).  We saw a cow moose and several deer.
We finally made it into Cody around 10:30pm, and are looking forward to a good nights rest!

Looking tired at 7am on day 3!
