Day 2

Today was another long day...900 miles and 14 hours in the car, but once again all went smoothly and we cruised into Sioux Falls around 6:30pm.  The speed limits out here are 70 or 75, so traffic is faced paced, I think that helped to get us here so quickly.
Today we drove through Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and into South Dakota.  So far Iowa has been the most scenic, although all states have pretty much been the same... Rolling crop land.  Iowa had several extensive wind farms, and to me they are beautiful in several ways!  We saw cattle, sheep and horses, no wild critters yet.
It was sunny and 91 when we arrived in Sioux Falls, we went in town for a drink and a bite to eat, followed by a visit to falls park, where the Sioux river flows through.  We were welcomed into South Dakota by the smell of hot cow dung and a four wheeler ripping down the highway in front of us (legal here)!

Off I bed, headed out bright and early again!  Badlands, Black Hills, Wall Drug, Mount Rushmore, and Devils tower on tap!
